We think it's a pretty universal experience that we all have as children - we ask our parents for a pet, and they instantly refuse. That always happens. And then you, as the animal person that you are, end up rescuing a kitten or a puppy and bringing them home, and your parents begrudgingly allow you to keep them for a while, until you find them a better home, and then you wake up one morning, and that same parents is cuddling with your newly adopted kitten on their favorite armchair. 

Always happens. Dad who hates cats falls in love with the new kitten. Mom who never wanted cats suddenly seems to love the cat more than she has ever loved anything in her life. Mom who did not want a cat falling in love with the kitten that her daughter brought home so hard that she starts knitting sweaters for it. Yes. And not only that, but the cat, unlike basically all other cats, not complaining about the vests but seeming to love them. Always happens.

    Her name is Bonita, my sister's cat. Mom always refused to get an inside cat because of the fur but hey, she loves her more than she loves us now! Always kisses and squeezes her. Such an amazing thing to see.

  • This is going to be one happy kitty. And once the daughter leaves the house, whether to go to college or live alone, we would not be surprised if mom insisted on.. perhaps leaving the kitty with her.

    SimbaRph Compliments to your Mom. That's beautiful. Those look like knit stitches not crochet. If I'm wrong please let me know. if she was able to crochet a knit stitch, I'd love to know how to do that.
